The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) held a productive meeting with the leadership of West Virginia University to explore opportunities for academic collaboration between the university and Egyptian higher education institutions.

The discussions focused on building sustainable partnerships in areas of mutual interest, including academic exchange, research collaboration, student and faculty mobility, joint educational initiatives, and other strategic opportunities that support the internationalization goals of both sides.

On June 11, 2026, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) had the honor of accepting an invitation from the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C. to attend the remarkable presentation "Legacy of Mesopotamia."

The event featured distinguished speakers from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who provided fascinating insights into the rich history, cultural heritage, and enduring legacy of Mesopotamian civilization—one of the world's earliest centers of human development, innovation, and knowledge.

The presentation offered a unique opportunity to explore the rofound contributions of Mesopotamia to human civilization and highlighted the importance of preserving and promoting our shared cultural heritage.

This remarkable new destination offers more than 100,000 square feet of immersive experiences and interactive exhibitions designed to inspire curiosity, discovery, and a deeper appreciation of our world. Visitors are invited to embark on a journey through science, culture, history, and exploration, experiencing the spirit of adventure that has defined National Geographic for generations.

The preview provided a unique opportunity to explore the museum's innovative exhibits and engage with a space dedicated to inspiring future explorers, researchers, storytellers, and global citizens.

ويُعد المتحف إضافة متميزة للمشهد الثقافي والتعليمي في العاصمة الأمريكية، حيث يمتد على مساحة تزيد عن 100 ألف قدم مربع ويضم تجارب تفاعلية ومعارض غامرة تُلهم روح الاستكشاف وتُعرّف الزوار بعجائب العالم وتاريخه وثقافاته المتنوعة.

The meeting will bring together representatives from both institutions to discuss opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including academic exchange, joint research initiatives, innovation and entrepreneurship, faculty and student mobility, and other collaborative programs that can contribute to strengthening ties between Egypt and the United States.
