On September 9, 2026, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) facilitated a meeting between the Molecular Biology Research and Studies Institute (MBRSI), Assiut University, and Northeastern University to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

The discussion placed particular emphasis on the potential development of joint and dual academic programs, providing an opportunity to explore models that combine the academic and research strengths of both institutions and create new pathways for graduate education and advanced training.

The meeting also addressed broader opportunities for joint research, faculty and student mobility, research training, and capacity building, to identify areas of mutual interest that could form the basis for sustainable institutional cooperation.

في ٩سبتمبر ٢٠٢٦، قام المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بواشنطن بتنسيق اجتماع بين معهد بحوث ودراسات البيولوجيا الجزيئية (MBRSI) – جامعة أسيوط وجامعة نورث إيسترن (Northeastern University)، لبحث فرص التعاون الأكاديمي والبحثي بين الجانبين.

وركزت المناقشات بصورة خاصة على إمكانية تطوير برامج أكاديمية مشتركة ومزدوجة (Joint/Dual Programs)، بما يتيح الاستفادة من الإمكانات الأكاديمية والبحثية لدى المؤسستين، وفتح مسارات جديدة للدراسات العليا والتدريب المتقدم.

كما تناول اللقاء فرصًا أوسع للتعاون تشمل البحث العلمي المشترك، وتبادل الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، والتدريب البحثي، وبناء القدرات، بهدف تحديد مجالات الاهتمام المشترك التي يمكن البناء عليها لتطوير تعاون مؤسسي مستدام.
